• Anecdote*: A Richard Kennard is mentioned in the East Sussex Relief of Irish Protestants 1642 for Burwash. He gave 1s 4d. This is probably a different Richard though as there are baptisms at Burwash between 1617-1628 to a Richard Kenward/Kennard (used interchangeably in PRs/BTs.)^2,3
