Anne Goldsmith was baptized on 28 July 1746 at Laughton, Sussex, England.1
Of interest is the burial of Anne Goldsmith, "wife of William" on 5 Mar 1740/41 at Alciston. She was buried the same day as her son Richard was baptised. William Goldsmith and Anne Duly married in 2 Nov 1738 at Berwick which is a parish adjacent to Alciston. It raises the question: could they have had a daughter Anne whose baptism was either not recorded or is yet to be found? However, there may not have been enough time for Anne to be born unless she was born soon after the marriage (which has happened before). Perhaps this William remarried but there is nothing obvious in the Sussex Marriage Index.
