Thomas Breach

b. 20 April 1731
FatherJohn Breach b. 2 Apr 1698
MotherSarah Skinner b. 24 Nov 1695, d. 1735
Thomas Breach was born in 1731 at Burwash, Sussex, England; (ESRO: PAR 414/32/3/3 Removal Order for John Breach and his three children John, Thomas and Sarah, from Burwash to Lewes St Michael.)
Thomas Breach was baptized on 20 April 1731 at St Bartholomew, Burwash, Sussex, England, Has mother's name as Mary.1 He was the son of John Breach and Sarah Skinner.
In 1738 a Removal Order was issued to John Breach's three children (one of which was Thomas) to relocate to Lewes and a letter from the overseers of Burwash stated that John had left his family. We can probably infer from this that John had gone to Lewes and became entitled to to settlement there (maybe through employment?). The children were then sent to Lewes. The children were later apprenticed out by the overseers at Lewes St Michael.
Thomas Breach: 17 Sep 1743 Thomas Breach (13 years of age) apprenticed to George Gibson, St Sepulchre, Middlesex, cook, for 11 years.2
Thomas Breach married Elizabeth McGinnis on 31 May 1750 at Fleet Prison, London, England, Thomas of St Andrews Holborn, occupation cook. Elis (or Eliz) of the same parish.3
Note that Thomas's brother John Breach also had a Fleet Prison marriage in 1753, suggesting they may have kept in contact with each other.
