• Anecdote: Possible baptisms for Thomas are:
  22 Dec 1674, son of John & Mary Ford
  14 Apr 1667 son of Thomas & Mary Ford.
  We know that our Thomas married Anne, that he died in 1710 (his admon is granted to his widow Anne) and had children John, Mary, Anne, Elizabeth, Thomas, Susanna and Edward.
  The will of John Foord of Ringmer, proved 1723, mentions his deceased brother Thomas and names three of his children (Edward and Elizabeth, then John in the memorandum).
  Although the child Thomas is not mentioned, this has to be his family as we know from his baptism in 1703 that his parents were Thomas and Anne Ford.
  We can also deduce that John Foord who died 1723 is the brother of Thomas Ford who died 1710 and that his parents were Thomas Ford and Mary (he mentions many of his brothers and sisters which helps confirm this).
  This means that the baptism in 1667 (Thomas son of Thomas and Mary Ford) is the correct one of the two possibilities mentioned above.^1,2
