This is the last Will and testament of me John Inkpen of Horsham in the County of Sussex Clockmaker (that is to say) As touching such worldly estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this Life I give devise and dispose of the same as followeth First my will is that my debts and funural expences shall be paid and discharged out of my effects by my Executrix herefater named Also my now dwelling house I give and devise unto my loving wife Elizabeth Inkpen and by her to be freely possessed and enjoyed during the term of her natural life she keeping of the same in good tenantary repair and paying all the interest that shall be due for the premises on the account of a mortgage that is upon the said dwelling house and premises during the term of her natural life And after her decease I give and devise the said premises with all and singular the appurtenances unto my daughter Elizabeth Marsh and to her heirs and assigns for ever Also I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Elizabeth Marsh one small dresser standing in the kitchen and all the pewter that is on the shelves (that is to say) six pewter dishes and twelve plates And my will is that the same shall be delivered to my said daughter by my Executrix within one month after my decease Also I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Elizabeth Marsh one large silver spoon Also I give and bequeath unto my Grandson John Marsh one large silver spoon Also my wearing apparel I give and bequeath unto my said grandson John Marsh Also my best bed and furniture ^thereto belonging^ and one large seeing glass being in the same chamber I give and bequeath unto my said wife Elizabeth Inkpen during her life if she shall continue to live in my house so long but if she remove out of it then I give the same to my said daughter Elizabeth Marsh Also all the rest of my estate stock in trade goods chattels credits and ready money whatsoever and wheresoever (my debts and funeral expences being first paid and discahrged as aforesaid I do hereby give and bequeath unto my said loving wife Elizabeth Inkpen whom I do likewise constitute and appoint sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former and other wills legacies bequests and executors by me in any way before this time named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said John Inkpen the testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the seventeenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty seven
