- Baptism*: BW87 Richard Page was baptized on 5 January 1631/32 at St Swithun, East Grinstead, Sussex, EnglandB.
- He was the son of BW22 BW86 Thomas Page and Elizabeth (?)
- Marriage*: BW87 Richard Page married Judith (?) circa 1657 at England.
- Anecdote: In 1660 and 1661, Richard Page was listed as a sworn constable at East Grinstead ESRO: QR/129/65, QR 127/74A.)
- Anecdote*: Sometime between 1650-70, Richard PAGE and Henry BRASTED jointly issued an undated halfpenny merchant's token at East Grinstead (BW87, N----, K54) which reads:
Obverse: (mullet)RICH.PAGE.AND.HEN.BRASTED , around a cable circle containing a crown.
Reverse: (mullet)EAST.GRIMSTED.IN.SVSSEX , around a cable circle containing THEIR HALF PENY on three lines.
Richard PAGE was an innkeeper and the crown represents the Crown Inn at East Grinstead. Henry BRASTED's will describes him as a mercer, so it is possible that he was a joint proprietor of the inn and/or the token was used for his mercer's business as well. These tokens were only issued in Sussex between 1650-1670 due to a severe shortage of small change. - Occupation*: BW87 Richard Page was an innkeeper in 1683.
- Anecdote*: In 1683 Richard's brother Thomas Page sold the property Gedges to him for £100. A deed of feeoffment records the sale of a property. In his will made in 1698, Richard leaves £50 to the children of his deceased brother, Thomas.

- Baptism*: Thomas Page was baptized on 17 December 1637 at St Swithun, East Grinstead, Sussex, EnglandB.1
- He was the son of BW22 BW86 Thomas Page and Elizabeth (?)
- Anecdote*: Could this be a mistake in the Bishop's Transcripts? Although this baptismis recorded (in the BTs) it doesn't fit that the earlier Thomas Page died, as he is the prime candidate to marry Margaret Blundell in 1647 and there is a document that states that the Thomas Page who married Margaret is the son of Thomas Page, innholder of East Grinstead:
Title: Mortgage in fee
Date: 17 Apr 1648
ESRO reference: SAS/FB/544
Description: Dorothy Blundell of East Grinstead, widow and relict of Edward Blundell deceased
to: Thomas Page the younger, son and heir of TP the elder of East Grinstead, innholder; and Margaret Page wife of TP the younger;
for securing the payment to TP and MP of £100 given by the will of EB dated 25 Jun 1644, by the name of 'Margarett his Jewell',
of a messuage or tenement with barn, garden and orchard in the borough of East Grinstead called Gedgers (bounds as in SAS/FB/543).
Witnesses: George Blundell, Edward Lucas
Creator(s) ; Sussex Archaeological Society
Comment: Given her marriage just 2 months earlier, this would appear to be a mortgae on the property "Gedges" whereby Dorothy still owns the property but she has a debt to her daughter of £100 which is now secured by a mortgage over the property.
