The burial of Richard's daughter Mary in 1681 states "daughter of Richard at the furnace in Dallington". The Wealden Iron Research Group has a database of sites and the furnace at Ashburnham (Dallington) is well documented. It commenced c1550 and used ore from the neighbouring woods making fire backs, brand irons, cannon and shot and also the molten iron was shaped into pigs for general purposes. The furnace operated until 1813. Richard Skinner was the iron founder between 1676-1688. Historically the appellation "founder" was given to the supervisor of a blast furnace, and persons who made castings in iron or other heavy metal (Wikipedia).2

John Breach

b. circa 1590, d. 1627
FatherThomas Breach b. c 1550, d. 1619
MotherAlice Jervis
John Breach was born circa 1590 at Herstmonceux, Sussex, England. He was the son of Thomas Breach and Alice Jervis.
There are two marriages from which John Breach may have been born:
1. John Breach married Elizabeth Woodnutt on 13 Feb 1580/81 at Wartling. He is likely to have had a son named John. No baptisms for this marriage have been found.
2. Thomas Breache married Alice Jervis 11 Nov 1576 at Warbleton. Thomas's will of 1619 (Thomas of Herstmonceux) mentions a son John.
In both cases, no baptism for a John has been found. However, in Thomas Breache's will of 1619 he mentions another son Richard which adds weight to Thomas being the father as John named a son Richard.
John Breach is mentioned in the will of Thomas Breach dated 23 October 1619 at Herstmonceux, Sussex, England.1,2
John Breach married Alice Peerse on 3 July 1620 at Dallington, Sussex, England.3
John Breach left a will made on 10 May 1627 at Warbleton, Sussex, England.4,5
John Breach died in 1627 at Warbleton, Sussex, England.
