    I Thomas Beane of Jevington in ye County of Sussex Carpenter being weake in body but pfect mind & memory (praised be God therefore) Doe make & appoint this my last will & testamt in manner & form following First I bequeath my soule into ye hands of God who gave itt desireing & hopeing for mercy & the pardon of my sinns thro’ ye meritts & intersession of Jesus my only Saviour & Redeemer Secondly I bequeath my body to ye ground from whence it was taken to be decently buried according to the discretion of my Extor hereafter named Item I give unto my son Thomas my Dwelling House & Shopp wth ye Garden & all thereunto belonging to enjoy to him & his heirs for ever he being olleng [obliged] to pay unto his four brothers five pounds a peece wthin three months after ye decease of their Mother and my desire is that my Loveing Wife shall have all my household Goods dureing her Life and after her decease to be equally devided between my five children. Thomas, Robert, Henry, John and William.
