    In the name of God. Amen. I Thomas Seaman of Bleachington in the Countie of Sussex being aged about four score yeares and seaven, & of perfect memorie as also sound in minde (prased bee God) have upon this eight day of July 1636, made & doe make this my last will & Testament in manner and forme following.
    Imprimis I bequeath my soule unto Almightie God my creator redeemer and sanctifier; And my bodie to bee buried in the Churchyard of Bleachington aforesayd in decent manner & w’th Christian burriall.
    Item I give ten groates to bee bestowed upon the Church of Bleachington aforesayd.
    Item I give unto my sonne James Seaman besides what hee hath in present possession one shilling. Item I give unto my sonne John Seaman my featherbed on w’ch I usually lie, w’th the bedding and furniture thereunto belonging, besides halfe a quarter of wheate w’ch I give unto my sayd sonne John Seaman.
    Item I give unto my daughter Margaret Seaman twentie nobles, w’ch my sonne John Seaman hath of mine and w’ch I will him to pay her after my decease.
    Item I give unto my daughter Joane Seaman twelve pounds to be payd her after my decease
    Item I give unto my sonne Humfrie Seaman one shilling in money and his dwelling in my now dwelling house for one whole yeare after my decease. And in case that God shall take mee out of this mortall life, my will is that then for the time then being onely my sonne Nicalas and my said sonne Humfrie shall divide equally betweene them all the corne that shall bee in the barnes and upon all the land lying in Bleachington aforesayd.
    Item I give unto Martha and Margaret Seaman, ye daughters of Humfrie Seaman above named ten shillings a peece.
    Item I give to Elizabeth Seaman the daughter of James Seaman ten shillings. And my will is that all ye sayd legacies bee payed by my Executor w’thin one yeare after my decease.
    Item I make Nicolas Seaman my sole Executor of this my last will & testament, And Adam Barnden of Bleachington, and John Austen of Seafoard overseers; & to these my overseers I give ten groats apeece. In Witnesse whereof I have set to my hand and seale the day and yeare above written.

    In the name of God Amen I John Bean of Rottingdean in the County of Sussex, yeoman do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say) First I give and bequeath unto my son in law Thomas Newington of Rottingdean aforesaid cordwainer the sum of ten pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain to be paid him within six months next after my decease by executor and trustee herein after named. Also I give and bequeath unto my loving wife Martha Bean one full third part of all and singular my household goods, linen, plate and furniture which at the time of my decease shall be standing, lying or being in and about my now dwelling house in Rottingdean aforesaid for and during the term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease I do hereby give and bequeath the same unto my daughter Mary the wife of Stephen Marten of Rottingdean aforesaid taylor, her executors and administrators. Also all the rest, residue and remainder of my real and personal estate of what nature or kind soever or wheresoever the same may be found at the time of my decease I give, devise and bequeath unto my said daughter Mary the wife of the said Stephen Marten her heirs, executors, administrators and assigns. Lastly I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my nephew William Playsted of Jevington in the said county of Sussex yeoman sole executor and trustee of this my Will hereby revoking all former wills. In witness whereof I the said John Bean the testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this third day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy five.

    This is the last Will and Testament of me Robert Bean of Blatchington in the County of Sussex Yeoman First I order and direct that all my just Debts and Funeral Expences be paid and discharged by my Executor hereinafter named I give and devise all and every my Lands Tenements and Real Estate whatsoever and wheresoever with the Appurtenances unto my Wife Ann Bean and my Son John Bean for and during the natural Life of my said Wife and from and immediately after her Decease I do hereby give and devise the same unto my said Son John Bean his Heirs and Assigns for ever Also I give and bequeath unto the said John Bean all and every my Monies Goods Chattels Stock Securities for Money and Personal Estate Charged and chargeable and I do hereby charge the same with and for the payment of my Debts and Funeral Expences and also with the payment of one full Moiety or half Part of the neat annual Interest profits and produce thereof unto my said Wife for and during the Term of her natural life to be paid to her halfyearly by my said Son towards her Support and Maintenance And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said Son sole Executor of this my Will hereby revoking all former Wills by me made In Testimony whereof I the said Robert Bean have hereunto set my Hand and Seal the eleventh Day of August in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty.
