I will and bequeath my Soule into the handes of Almightie God my mercifull father trusting and assuredly beleevinge that through the merritts death and passion of his sonne and my onely Lord and sonnes Anthonie and William shall die or depart this life before theire porcions shall growe due and payable that then the survivor them two vizt Anthoney and William shalbe heire to the other and shall have and take the porcion of him soe first deceasinge And if it shall happen that the said Elizabeth and Grace my daughters (to whome I have given fiftie poundes a peece as aforesaid) to depart this life before theire porcions shall growe due and payable to be payde then my will is that the porcion of either of them twoe vizt Elizabeth and Grace so deceasinge shalbe equallye and proporcionablie devided amongest all the residue of my children surviving parte and parte like Item I will unto Ursula the wife of Edward Averye and to Jone late wife of William Cornes deceased my daughters to either of them the somme of fortie shillings apeece of currant english money to be payed unto them and either of them within sixe monethes next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto Thomas Hyland my eldest sonne for his better maintenance all that Messuage or tenement and landes called Giffordes which I have and holde for diverse yeares yet to come from William Relfe of Ashburneham in the countie of Sussex gent To have and to hold the said messuage or tenement and landes unto the said Thomas my sonne from the feast of thannunciacion of our blessed Ladie St Mary the virgin last past 1622 unto the full ende and terme of eight yeares from thence next and emediatlie ensueinge and fullie to bee compleate and ended if the said Thomas my sonne shall soe longe live And if the said Thomas my sonne shall die and depart this life before the said terme of eight yeares shalbe fullie expired and determined Then I will and my minde is that Anthonie my sonne shall have the In the name of God Amen the eighte day of August in the second yeare of the reigne of our Soveraigne Lord James by the grace of god kinge of England Scotland Frannce and Ireland that is to saie of Scotland the eighte and thirtithe Defender of the faith etc I William Longley of Lamberhest in the Countie of Kente being of good and perfect memory Doe make Constitute and ordaine this my laste Will and testament in manner and forme followinge First I Committ my Soule into the handes of Almightie god assuredly hopeinge of my salvation in Jesus Christe And my bodie to be buried after the manner of Christian buriall at the discretion of my Executor Item I give to Thomas Hyland Anthonye Hilande Elizabeth Ursula Marie and Joane Hiland the Children of Anthony Hilande my sonne in law to either of them a twelve monnthinge tegge or ewe Item I give to Elizabeth Hiland my daughter a heyffer of twoe yeares olde Item I give to Marye Osmer the daughter of Edward Osmer my sonne in lawe the somme of fortie ahillings of lawfull englishe money to be paid to her or her assignes within three yeares nexte after my decease Item I give to Mary Longley my daughter the somme of thirtie poundes of lawfull englishe money to be paid to her or her assignes within twoe yeares nexte after my decease besides all other goodes and Chattles wherof shee is or shalbe lawfully possessed of at the tyme of my decease All the which my very minde and will is shee shall quietly enioy and have Item I give to Thomas Longley my sonne my middle Cupple or yoke of Oxen Indifferently to be Chosen owte from the rest Item I will that my sonne John Longley shall have and inioy my lease & terme of yeares yet to come in the same lyinge in Tysherst in Sussex and nowe in the occupacion of my saide sonne which I have and houlde of the demise and grannte of John Corthopp of the parrishe of Lingfeilde in the Countie of Surrey yf my saide sonne do live so longe till the yeares therin be expired And alsoe uppon this Condicion that yf my saide sonne John doe iustly faithfully and absolutely acquite me my heirs Executors and Administrators of all writings obligatorye or other wise whatsoever wherin together for him and with him I stand bounde to Henrye Crow his Father in lawe gent for the payment of the somme of tenn poundes of lawfull engishe money or for any other somme or sommes of money what soever The residue of all my goodes and Chattells my debts legacies and Funerall expences beinge discharged I give and bequeath to Joane my wife and Thomas my sonne whome I make and appoint my Executors of this my laste Will and testament and John Worley and Allexander Longley my Overseers In Witnes wherof to this my present will I have setto my hande the daie and yeare above written in the presence of Arthur Streater and others
